Something I recently found at my job was a 3D printed bunny, hidden in a window sill and left out of the way for hours. No one was around, so I decided that I'd give the little plastic bunny some love. I'm planning on sanding and filing it some so it's less rough, priming it and painting it in some cute color scheme.
This is the bunny when I just discovered it! It's got a fair amount of printing flaws even after I scratched some bumps off with my fingernail. It'll be cleaned up and primed soon!
All primed, painted and dried! I decided to go with a simple gold and silver look, kind of like a little lucky golden bunny since it's the year of the rabbit. I did my best to fill in the gaps but you can still see the grain, it kind of reminds of how wood grain looks after it's been painted, now. After that I gave it a light spray of clearcoat varnish so the paint would be protected, now it's got a new home on my computer desk!
